This day comes from the traditional story of the feast of Annunciation. The streets are filled during the parade with entertainment, creating an exciting experience. Next on the Florentine New Year all visitors and locals will head to the Piazza SS Annunziata where there is a large feast celebration catered by the best of the best outdoor Italian cuisine.

Easter in Florence may be most associated with the long lived tradition of the “explosion of the cart”. Also known as the “burst of the carriage”, this is Florence’s most unique Easter tradition.
